Where haber breaks the pattern

  • he, has, ha. The present of haber is irregular in most persons.
  • hube. The preterite has its own stem, hub-, and no written accent on hube or hubo. The imperfect subjunctive is built on it: hubiera.
  • habré. The future and conditional use habr- in place of haber-.
  • haya. The present subjunctive has its own stem, hay-.

Vos and vosotros

vosotros habéisSpain. Latin America says ustedes han.
